Starting the New Year with a Few Challenges
Just a quick stop today. Trying to complete a few challenges. This week I decided to try the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge. The Challenge was to make a card with matching envelope. I went full on matchy matchy for mine. Using my We r Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced made this a walk in the park. I used Gina K Layered Daisies for my springtime flowers. Cardstock is Neenah Solar White and my inks are also by Gina K Designs.
What isn’t pictured is my second acrylic plate that I own. This makes assembly line cards and layering stamps a much quicker project. I actually cheat and use the back side of the acrylic plate so I can have 4 sets of stamps going. ( Please remember that doing this means the rubber feet no longer give you space between the paper and the stamps so you need to be committed when you stamp)
If you look closely I actually have three layers of stamps on the card. I stamped the base then decided I wanted more than clean and simple. A pink layer of cardstock followed by another stamped layer topped out the card base. Then I decided I wanted some dimension so I stamped the flowers, die cut them and popped them up on pop dots. As I added each layer I just grabbed my already prepped acrylic plate with the stamps on it got inky! Thanks for stopping by.
