Using Leftover Circle Dies….
For my Father’s Day post, I mentioned that I would be sharing how I used all of those leftover outline die cuts. Here it is!!!
Basically, I again adhered double sided adhesive to Neenah classic crest solar white 80 pound cardstock. I then attached the background die cut. From there, I poured Elizabeth craft microfine glitter over the cardstock, filling in all of the open areas. Microfine glitter needs to be burnished, but that’s easy. Running your finger in circular motions over the glitter, using a decent amount of pressure, firmly adheres the glitter and burnishes it, giving it a beautiful shimmer.
To finish off the cards, I used the “Thanks” die and shadow die from Honeybee Stamps. For most of the cards, I used a vellum shadow with Neenah card stock. Some have a vellum shadow with Gina K Design’s Black Onyx card stock. For one card, I used Gina K Design’s Red Velvet card stock with a white shadow.
These were a super quick and easy way to use up leftover die cuts, minimizing my waste as a crafter, and giving me several elegant thank you cards to have on hand. As a teacher, I write many thank you notes, so this is one type of card I always make in bulk!
As always, I hope this inspires you to go out and make something today!
