A lifetime of love
To everything there is a season! It seems that I am in phase two of the wedding season of my life: my nieces and nephews, and the sons and daughters of my friends! A few months back, I posted an engagement card that I sent to my niece. Now it is a card I made for a bridal shower I attended today. I didn’t intend to blog about this card, but decided to write a very short post about my process for this card. The pictures are not great as I only took a few quick shots with my phone to catalog it. So I apologize in advance!
For this card, I inked a piece of Neenah Classic Crest solar white card stock with distress ink. I then die cut the inked piece using an x cuts die by do crafts called heart frames.
As I have fallen in love with Altenew’s Pearl embossing powder, I coated all of the pieces with Versa mark ink, then heat embossed them in pearl embossing powder-except the smallest heart. Shimmery goodness! I embossed the smallest heart in rose gold (Altenew) embossing powder. The wedding colors are blush, ivory and steel blue, so I then mounted the die cuts on a piece of ivory glossy card stock from my stash.
Next I inked up a strip of solar white cardstock in a grey blue distress ink (weathered wood) and embossed a Gina K Designs sentiment (Wishing you a lifetime of love) in rose gold. I adhered that to the front of the card with foam tape to give it some dimension. And I was done!
As always, thank you for reading my blog, and I hope this inspires you to go out and create something!
